Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. 1st Edition. 1st printing of small hardcover. Binding tight; pages clean except for light pencil sidemarking to one page. Unclipped (5s net) DJ shows some overall wear and a cup ring on front cover. Sequel to Lorimer's 1939 "What Hitler Wants," which she wrote after discovering that the U.S. and U.K. translations of "Mein Kampf" were inadequate and incomplete. In this book, "The author's theme is, first, that when Germany has lost the war, the terms of peace must take full account of the insane desire for power among the German peoples, which has broken out in this second attempt for world hegemony; and secondly, that only a well-informed public opinion in Britain can secure such proper treatment as shall ultimately restore the Germans to sanity and to an honoured, useful role in a New Europe." Interesting that Emily Lorimer used her initials to conceal her gender, going so far as to use "he" on the flap copy. Startlingly uncommon, particularly in DJ. 129 pages.
