First edition of this delightful and early Peter Lukes pop-up featuring Kenny the Kangaroo taking a tour through Animalia, with sliding pop-ups of elephants, tigers, macaws, giraffes, snkes, monkeys, crocodiles, rhinos hippos & cheetahs. Lukes (1923-1976) began as a set designer for Barandov Film Studios, but ran afoul of the Czech Communist Party in 1948, and so eventually became a children's book illustrator winning an Artia house contest in 1960, followed by his successful pop-up series.
