Limited Edition. first printing, small folio (28.5 x 19.5 cms); 24 pages; with seven wood-engravings by Miriam Macgregor; softcover: plain cream paper covers, under orange-yellow wrappers, with fold-in flaps, printed titles in brown and black, and repeated engraving in brown; wear to spine of wrapper with tin split at top, slight rubbing to edges, otherwise a very good copy. Limited edition of 1,000 copies. An early Whittington Press publication, and Miriam Macgregor's first published work of wood engravings. Apparently, there were a large number of damaged copies, reducing the actual number of copies to around 800 from the 1,000 intended.
