Book is tight, square, but does have a F/O genealogy notes on the maternal side of the family of L.L. Smith as marginal notes on the top and bottom of the first 7 pages. Book Condition: Good +; curling of tips; shelfwear to head, tail, tips, and board bottom edges. No DJ. Green cloth boards and spine with bright silver lettering on the spine and front board. Clean internals. Inner hinges are sound and not split. 99 pp 12mo. This book about L.L. Smith (Luman Lucius Smith) was produced at the request of the Oklahoma Baptist State Convention. He was born on Dec 28th 1863 at Van Wert OH. He obtained his education at Central Normal College in Great Bend, KS and gained a church affiliation and in July 1892, he bacame the minister of the First Baptist Church in El Reno OK. He became a respected Baptist Church leader throughout OK. He was called away by God on Nov. 22, 1902 by typhoid complications. This book contains many letters of appreciation and gives a remembrance of his memory and fine work. A clean very presentable about and Oklahoma Territorial pastor.

The guide came out yearly, beginning in 1891 - the present issue is designated Volume 5. Includes a four page section on The Mount Lowe Railway in the San Gabriel Mountains, which had just opened in 1893.
