Gabrielle d'Estrées war die Maitresse von Heinrich IV. die ihn auch auf seinen Feldzügen begleitete. Die autografe Partitur wird heute in der Julliard School in New York aufbewahrt (Signatur 0 A?15sc, alte Signatur 33/304). Literatur: RISM 900005390 (unter Gabrielle d'Estrées), Autograf, datiert 1817, mit Incipit für den Bassschlüssel des Klaviers und dem Incipit für die Singstimme, nicht im Thematischen Verzeichnis der im Druck erschienenen Compositionen von Ignaz Moscheles, Leipzig 1885.
