Ajouter au panierSoft cover. Etat : Good. [October 1943] Second revised edition. Softcover, 216 pages. Book for map and aerial photograph readings was published during World War II. Includes: Special Map A, a folded map laid in. Also laid in: 12 plates of Aerial Photographs, Plot Map of Photographs, Photo Coordinate Atlas Grid, and two cardboard Protractors (one in degrees, the other in Mils). It was a training manual for military soldiers. Condition: Expected age toning, shelf and age wear, age darkening of cloth spine; gutter cracked at Copyright and Publishers' Forward pages; several pages have pinholes at top borders. The large folded map, Map A, has several tears. However, overall, book and laid-in material are Very Good. Complete, and very uncommon in this condition. Many illustrations and explanations were originally published by the U.S. Army; Military Service Publishing added material. In this second revised edition, there is new text, new chapters on foreign maps and map projections, and many illustrations. The material is based closely on the field requirements of the U.S. Army. All information from official manuals has been edited and clarified, according to the publisher. Vintage, historical, and hands-on practical. A very important collectible, since book was actually used by a soldier in World War II, according to his son. Note: We are a well-established, well-respected, ethical book dealer in business since 1991. We describe the condition of our books thoroughly and honestly, so you'll know exactly what you will be receiving when you order. We ship promptly.

Ajouter au panierHardcover/Hardback. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. The Officer's Guide, 9th Edition, is a seminal U.S. Army reference manual first issued postWorld War II to provide newly commissioned officers with a complete guide to military protocol, leadership, administration, and conduct. Compiled by the editorial staff of the Military Service Publishing Company in 1946, this edition is particularly notable for its postwar updates and insights into evolving military customs during a pivotal transition in American defense history. The book covers a vast array of topics including duties and responsibilities of officers, military law and discipline, pay and allowances, uniform regulations, customs and courtesies, and command techniques. Its practical format made it essential reading for ROTC graduates, West Point cadets, and returning veterans transitioning into officer roles. Packed with illustrations, tables, and organizational charts, it reflects the ethos and structural clarity of the mid-20th-century U.S. Army. A highly collectible and historically rich title, it remains of interest to military historians and collectors of WWII-era memorabilia. Dust jacket has some tears, cracks, etc,
