This copy is in very good condition bound in cream cloth covered boards with green and red titling, decoration and borders to the spine and upper board. This copy is bright, tight, white and square. There is some staining to the endpapers due to leeching of the sellotape used to fasten the clear, removable protective film. There is some typical spotting to the endpapers A dustwrapper is not called for. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. There are forty eight full colour plates by Ernest W. Haslehust. Four of England's most scenic districts are described by leading authors and given a full complement of 12 wonderful colourplates each. A watercolourist best known for his impressive landscapes, Haslehust was a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI), Royal Society of British Artists (RBA), Royal West of England Academy (RWA) and Royal British Colonial Society of Artists (RBC), and exhibited regularly at many venues including the Royal Academy in London. His beautiful paintings of British towns and country-sides were featured in travel posters for both the LNER and LMS railways. Ref ZZZ 4.
