Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. The 2025 REGISTER OF QUALIFIED HUGUENOT ANCESTORS, 6th Edition: The Huguenot Researcher's Authoritative Sourcebook of Proofs gathers a wealth of genealogical data into one magnificently-detailed 880-page sourcebook of Huguenot evidence, or "proofs" designed to assist the researcher's quest to find and prove a direct hereditary/ lineage relationship to one or more proven Huguenot ancestors, as well as the required proof of French Reformed or Protestant religion, which are the elements needed in order to join The National Huguenot Society & other Huguenot lineage societies. Its particular focus is upon those Huguenots who emigrated from France between 1520 and 28 November 1787, and who themselves or their descendants eventually came to America or remained in France despite government-approved persecution for their religious beliefs. Such proofs of direct lineage and Protestant religion are vital to support a proposed Huguenot applicant's membership in The National Huguenot Society, one of the largest of its kind in the US. Its objectives are patriotic, hereditary, educational, historical & religious, all for the purpose of honoring our Huguenot ancestors' steadfast adherence to their religious faith and to their principles of freedom & liberty of conscience. Huguenot descendants in the US include many of our founding fathers such as George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Paul Revere, & Gouvenor Morris, many businessmen & industrialists, and artists who emigrated elsewhere such as Faberge. From farmers to politicians to military service, many Huguenots & their descendants participated in the founding of our American government, of our oldest towns & cities, and in the creation of business enterprises which contributed significantly to the successes achieved in our country. The 2025 REGISTER, or RQHA, contains biographical family summaries of NHS's 650+ qualified/ proven Primary Ancestors, and the first few generations of their descendants, clearly identifying the known inter-family relationships among Huguenots. For the first time, we have flagged those Huguenots who are recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution to have rendered Patriotic Service in the Revolutionary War. An index of Primary Ancestors is included, and there is a broader Index of Ancestors, Descendants & Their Circle, plus, there is a detailed Place Names Index presented along with informative color maps, so that the researcher can determine the ancestor's known places of residence. An educational history of Huguenot Life & Huguenot Emigration is included, and peppered throughout the book are pearls of knowledge in the form of artwork and images about Huguenot culture, beliefs & practices. Importantly to the genealogical researcher, all sources are cited at the end of each Primary Ancestor bio. The useful information presented in this detailed, monumental 2025 REGISTER is bound to serve as a valuable resource to Huguenot researchers, one which should establish it as one of the premier authoritative sourcebooks of proofs of its kind available today. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
