This is a Fine Copy of this book in publisher's original purple cloth with gilt title lettering to spine,in a Very Good Dust-Jacket,with no chips or tears to the outer edges of the wrapper.Not price clipped and this copy has NO previous ownership inscriptions present.The book has been SIGNED by the Calligrapher George Simpson on the Front Endpaper.The Book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and their is no leaning or rolling to spine.Clean copy internally.Beautifully illustrated internally with many great photographs of Hampstead in black and white by Keith Wynn.This copy came from the library of the well known Local Historian Alan Dumayne who was born in Hornsey but moved to the area early in the 1930s, living for the rest of his life in Winchmore Hill and Southgate.It is Dumayne we have to thank for our most detailed histories of the area. Beginning in the late 80s, he wrote three very readable books on the history of the area 'Southgate: A Glimpse Into The Past' (1987), 'Once Upon A Time in Palmers Green' (1989) and 'Fond Memories of Winchmore Hill' (1990) 4to First Edition 192pp. Signed by Author(s).
