Hardcover, very good+. Corners bumped, rubbed and head and foot of spine, with a 1/4 inch nick at head. Internally, upper corner of preface creased, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked, and apparently never read. Spine and edges of cloth faded, corners bumped. Internally, previous owner's signature (in pencil) erased small pencil marks on 8 or 9 pp, side edges of 7 or 8 leaves chipped (probably from careless opening of uncut leaves; text unaffected) , rare stray spot of foxing, otherwise tight, clean, unmarked and probably never really read.
