Illustrated with more than seventy copper plate engravings. Contains rules and demonstrations, with several designs, for the framing of any manner of roofs, either above pitch, or under pitch, whether square, or bevel, never before published by architect William Pope of London. In addition it contains designs of floors of variety of small pieces of wood inlaid lately made in the Palace of Somerset-House; a curiosity never practiced before in England. Binding with some wear along edges, light scuffing. First few leaves with medium damp-staining, else mostly in margins. Only plates between pages 100 and 120 with some damp-staining in plates. Plates following page 119 with heavier damp-staining in margins, light in some plates. Folding diagram at rear with wear along edges and some browning in four inch crease at bottom. Brown spots at bottom corners of inside covers. Bottom edge and margins of pages at rear exposed to water with at times heavier staining in margins.
