The author concerns themself with developing approaches for social-level intervention, which presents a significant contrast to traditional individual-level epidemiological approaches. The book concludes that AIDS and drug abuse prevention research will be enhanced through the combination of micro and macro-level analysis, and the combined strengths of qualitative and quantitive research methods.
