Mancano le 48 tavv. di aggiunta di decorazioni, suppellettili ed altri oggetti d'ornamento di Giuseppe Brusato. Doppio frontespizio, francese e italiano, con vignette incise su rame con raffigurazioni di medaglie conferite all'Antonelli per la sua attività tipografica. Cuffie anticamente restaurate. Una piega ad una carta, qualche leggera brunitura, ma, nel complesso, ottimo esemplare. Prima edizione italiana del Recueil de décorations intérieures (1812), fondamentale repertorio sulla decorazione d'interno che concorse in modo decisivo alla codificazione e alla diffusione in Europa dello Stile Impero, in parte inventato dagli stessi Percier e Fontaine, architetti ufficiali di Napoleone. Sono 72 tavole piene d'ogni sorta di elegantissimi disegni, presi dall'antico, e accozzati con un gusto infinito, eseguiti con tutta la precisione, e accompagnati da spiegazioni in un testo ben succinto, e ben chiaro: opera utile ad ogni ramo delle Arti (Cicognara). Percier e Fontaine, autentici Dioscuri del Neoclassicismo prima e dell'Impero poi, attivi insieme dal 1789, furono gli architetti del Louvre e delle Tuileries (1804-'48), progettarono l'Arc de Triomphe du Carousel (1806) e lavorarono a Versailles e a Fontainebleau (Fontaine fu anche architetto in proprio, progettando la cappella alla memoria di Luigi XVI a Parigi e l'Hôtel Dieu di Pontoise). Ces deux dessinateurs précis, purs et pleins de goût, firent dans leur art une révolution analogue à celle que David opéra dans la peinture (Hoefer, Nouvelle Biographie Générale). Cicognara, 605.
