Original lithographed plan of Florence (64 x 78 cm) dissected into 28 sections, backed onto linen, and folding between Edward Stanford's original purple cloth covers (17 x 12 cm) with his title label to front cover, and yellow adverts to pastedown and verso. With Stanford's label to lower margin. Some light and even toning, generally an excellent clean copy with no blemishes.

Oblong quarto 22x28 cms. bound in recent cloth with the original damaged label on the upper board. 18 SUPERB HAND COLOURED AQUATINT ENGRAVED PLATES - fine period hand colouring particular to Italian works, with thick wash blue skies, finely painted figures and gold hand coloured borders. Image size 14x19 cms, plate mark size 18x25 cms. Possibly of 20 plates as the vendor can fine no record of the book on ABPC but there is an online reference to a copy at Gonnelli Auctions with 20 plates. 2 plates with very mild marginal oxidisation and the last two plates with a spot in the centre.
