Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Collectible-Very Good. First Edition. 2 volumes; red cloth binding, fading to the spine of both volumes. I: 274 pages; illustrations (some color). II: 359 pages; illustrations; index. Miles Poindexter (1868-1946) was a congressman and Senator from the state of Washington and served as Ambassador to Peru (1923-28). In this two volume study of the Inca Empire he has assembled a wealth of source material showing Asian and Pacific origins of the Ayar Inca, ruling caste of the Inca peoples. He believed that Polynesian migration to South America from India had great influence on the Incas. though now discarded as a theory of cultural development in Peru, the Inca history is of some interest. Very good clean copy with color plates.
