Blue cloth; spine's lettering strongly rubbed/flaked and difficult to discern; fraying at lower rear joint, spine ends, and board corners; some rubbing/flak…ing loss to front board's lettering and vignette but still easily legible. Light foxing to text block edges; deckle fore-edge. Light blue endpapers. Foxing to interior leaves. Binding is firm. A good+ copy of Saint-Exupery's second novel which was first published in Paris by Editions Gallimard in October 1931 and was awarded the French literary prize Prix Femina in the same year. The novel was adapted into a 1933 film released by Metro Goldwyn Mayer.
