Ajouter au panierPaperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the history and complexities of regulation in the utility industry, with a special focus on the ongoing debate between state and federal regulatory authority. The author provides a comprehensive analysis of the Transportation Act of 1920 and its impact on the industry, arguing that the centralized approach to rate-making it established has been detrimental to both consumers and the railroads themselves. The book also explores the challenges faced by state regulatory commissions in balancing the need for reasonable rates with the financial health of utilities and the importance of local control in regulating services that directly impact communities This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
