Frontispiece black and white captioned photo plus 60 other black and white captioned photos. Green cloth with gilt letters and gilt decorations, including a golf club, on the spine and with his signatu…re in gilt on the lower right corner of the front cover. David James Rees, CBE [1913¿1983] was one of Britain's leading golfers. Rees may best be remembered as the captain of the Great Britain Ryder Cup team which defeated the United States at Lindrick Golf Club in Yorkshire, England in 1957. It was the only defeat which the United States suffered in the competition between 1933 and 1985. This book "is not, as the author says, a ook for beginners, but it is full of wise hints for those whose education is already well-advanced." [from the Foreword].
