A near fine copy with miniscule rubbing to the extremities. Contains, inter alia, lecture/essay by Tolkien: "English and Welsh" (pages… 1-41) on Anglo-Saxon, Welsh, Celtic and English philology. The lecture was originally delivered on 21 October 1955 at the Examinations School in Oxford. Hammond (page 310). An uncommon piece of Tolkieniana. Further photographs available upon request.
