One of ten copies, each signed by lithographer Ashley Lilley in artist's pencil to the lower left margin, edition hand-numbered to the right margin. A striking, interpretive work, showing T-Rex founder, frontman and mainstay Marc Bolan, with percussionist Mickey Finn. Finn joined Bolan in 1969, replacing Steve Peregrine Took in the Tolkien-inspired psychedelic folk duo Tyrannosaurus Rex. Their final LP under this name appeared in March 1970 and by October 1970 they had shortened their name to T. Rex and released the breakthrough single 'Ride A White Swan'. One of ten numbered copies signed by lithographer Ashley Lilley in pencil to lower margin, dated to same. Each image size 55 x 58.5cm, overall size 73 x 70cm, ready for framing. Front and rear views, in fine/as-new condition. A striking work, based on the cover of the T. Rex album 'The Slider' (1972), the photographs for which were credited to Ringo Starr although likely taken by producer Tony Visconti. This is a revision of Lilley's original concept circa 2001, now with slightly different colour, added silver, on a white ground. Signed. …

First edition, signed by the author, of the glam rock superstar's only lifetime book of poetry. Loosely inserted is a letter on T. Rex Fan Club stationery, dated 18 July 1973, typed and signed "Linda", in the original envelope. It is addressed to one Cecilia Radice and informs her that she has won the book in a t-shirt drawing competition. Bolan was proud of his literary ability, and considered the lyrics to T. Rex songs to be further examples of his poetry. In an interview with Creem magazine in 1973, he stated "Whether you think I'm good or bad, I'm still the best-selling poet in England" (Crowe).
