The book is bound in black matte cloth with an embossed 1900 on the cover and white titles on the spine; it is protected by a pictorial dust jacket. The book is lavishly illustrated with over 500 illustrations, 300 of which are in color. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The dust jacket is without edge wear because it is double-folded on the edge. There is some faint scuffing to its finish, nothing extreme. The hard covers are unblemished and unbumped. Inside the former owner has left his embossed emblem on the front endpaper but this is the only mark I found in the book. The interior pages are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
