Uniform matching recently rebacked hard back binding in publishers original full brown leather, the spines divided into five panels, red and black morocco lettered labels in the second and fourth, tools to the others, twin parallel line details across the panels, original end papers 32mo. 4½'' x 3¼''. Originally published in 7 volumes as the 'Whittingham Edition' this rather unusual full leather set has been rebacked. The second title pages refer to be published in 7 volumes, however, this set is over 14 volumes, because of this the binder has duplicated 7 volumes with two lots of different tools down the 14 spines, with generic titles to all 14.
