Cloth. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good-. First Edition. This is a 227 pp. true life saga of 2 sisters (one of which is the author) that in 1949, were arrested by the Rumanian government for trumped-up charges of espionage. The book details how they were in separate prisons for 11 years, but quietly released and extradicted before serving their full sentences when a family member paid ransom. It is a harrowing tale. Signed by the author on the title page. The jacket shows light edge wear (especially at the top of the spine). Red cloth binding has bumped corners and spine edges. Photos upon request.
