Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Near Fine. First edition with a TLS letter laid in. Octavo. 92pp. Near fine in turquoise illustrated boards with a small split at the lower front gutter and slight bumping at the spine ends in near fine dustwrapper with sunning and light wear along the spine; the letter very good with moderate wear at the edges. This Pakistani poet's first book, a long poem, with a TLS from him to Robert L. Stevens, chairman of the National Cultural Center in Washington DC laid in. The letter solicits Stevens assistance in traveling around America to gain "first hand knowledge of the west, whose people are after all the ones I am writing for, and who form my reading public." Accompanying the letter are two additional pages listing Seljouk's background, education, and accomplishments, including a special award from the President of Pakistani for publication of this book and his election in the Royal Society of Arts.
