FIRST EDITION hardcover, sewn-bound in blue cloth, with gilt lettering on spine, is in G condition, having very light staining to front and back covers; top and bottom spine slightly worn; corners very slightly bumped and worn; very light rubbing/scuffing to covers; this appears to be a presented book with the giver's inscription and signature in ink on first free endpaper; former owner has written in pencil "Aquinas" on last fixed endpaper. Dust jacket, enclosed in protective mylar (mylar not pictured), is in Fair conditon, having been price-clipped, and with rubbing/scuffing to jacket cover surface, and chipping to edges; there are some small tears near jacket spine top, and at bottom of back jacket there is another tear with a piece missing (former owner attempted repair on various tears with magic tape). Book has only one illustration, a frontispiece featuring a b&w reproduction of a painting of Kierkegaard. Edited by Robert Bretall. Text translated into English. "This anthology covers the whole of Kierkegaard's literary career.
