With a list of biographies. Kate Trauman Steinitz was a Hannover-based colleague, close associate, and here the posthumous biographer of Kurt Schwitters. The first English language memoir of the renowned Dada and collage pioneer, it features an introduction co-authored by former Pasadena Art Museum curators Walter Hopps and John Coplans and includes translations of numerous prose and performance pieces - including the libretto for Schwitters and Steinitz' unpublished 1928 collaborative "science-fiction opera", "Zusammenstoss" ("Collision"). A most handsome example whose dust jacket shows just a bit of light wear and soiling. Artist Monograph.
