Very rare and collectible first edition of the author's debut novel. It was produced in rather small numbers due to it's commercial failure, but later gained desirability following the fame found by the author under his later adopted pseudonym of Hank Janson. Due to a printing error the author's name is written as Frances on both dust jacket and title page, but Francis on front board. The dust jacket has several minor tears, with slight marking, and fading to spine, with minor loss to top and base of spine. Slight marking to front pastedown and edges. Quantity Available: 1. There is a little fading to the bottom of the front board and to a small strip to the rear panel. Internally the inner pages are clean with no signs of foxing or finger marks. Free of any previous owner names or inscriptions, in a very good dust wrapper that has minor loss to the spine tips and to the corner of the front and rear flap folds. There is a small hole to the spine, with rubbing to the extremities. The publisher's printed price of 7/6 is present to the front flap. The authors name Stephen Francis is spelled incorrectly to the dust wrapper and to the title page, reading Stephen Frances. Mr Francis is better known as Hank Janson.
