Illustrated by Edmund J. Sullivan. Frontis plus 9 further illustrations. Prettily bound in blue cloth with complex gilt love knot pattern in an Art Nouveau style to front and spine. Slightly rubbed to points and to spine edges. Surface damage to front endpaper presumably where an a prize label or similar has been lifted off. Gilt is bright. Binding is sound. Very clean. Very good copy.

Backstrip darkened and boards lightly chafed. Some browning to endpapers, and a small bookplate to the front pastedown. Silk marker ribbon detached and laid-in. A very crisp copy.
