Notable also for the decorations (taken from various designs on antique gems). One of 330 copies (the entire edition; this is number 143), printed at the Riverside Press, Cambridge, Massachusetts, October 1906; designed by Bruce Rogers, utilizing his Brimmer Italic typefaces. Illustrated by Few b/w Decorations (including Title Page & headpieces) Calverley's (1831-1884) sensitive translation was first published in 1869, reissued here in one of Bruce Rogers' finest productions. 424b.

Bound in the original brown boards decorated in black, with an orange and black vignette on the front cover. This copy is from the library of George Allison Armour with his elaborate blindstamped monogram on the half title page, and his handsome 1898 bookplate (unused, laid-in loose). Warde 69.
