This modern play version was written by the convict James Tucker, author of 'Ralph Rashleigh' at Port Macquarie, New South Wales, in 1845. Tucker adopted the pen-name 'Otto von Rosenberg'. This is the first authentic transcription of the manuscript into modern English (in 1996), together with a biographical sketch and commentary on the play.
