Colored paper over boards with green and black letters on the front cover. Cover is highly decorated with drawings of animals, presumably by Elisabeth Ivanovsky. Covers clean and bright, some silver fish grazing at the lower corners and occasionally elsewhere on the covers, some wear to extremities with the corners just barely rubbed through, all internal illustrations in find condition, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket, perhaps as issued. These are just stunningly beautiful color images of various kinds of fish. No date listed, but probably in the 1940s. Marcelle Verite (1904-19994) was a French children's writer.
