Vysochenko and Mykhailo Kylymny, was a Ukrainian author and journalist. He worked for Komsomolskaia Pravda and several other journals in the 1920s and 30s. After spending time in prison during WWII and later, in DP camps in Germany, he emigrated to Brasil in 1948. "USSR without a Mask," his first book, described "what Bolshevism brought to the Ukrainian people.".

Vysochenko). D…espite the difficulties (imprisonment during the Second World War, and emigration (first DP camps in Germany, then moving to Brazil), the writer remained loyal to the interests of Ukraine. He edited the nationalist newspaper "Hliborob" and was a frequent correspondent of "Svoboda" newspaper. The book answers the main question: "Why did the author escape from the Soviet Union?".
