The transcript number, in order of telecast, was compiled and maintained by SECA commencing with the program's move to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in 1971 although the number does not appear in the issue. This is the transcript of the Firing Line program taped at KQED in San Francisco, November 16, 1971, and telecast on PBS on January 23, 1972. Hosted by William F. Buckley, Jr., the topic was "The 18 to 21-Year-Old Vote"; the guests were eight college students (Marsha Martin from Mills College, Larry Seidman from the University of California at Berkeley, Steve Cortright from St. Mary's College, Yvonne Westbrook from the University of San Francisco, Steve Morgan from Harvard University, Larry Diamond from Stanford University, Dave Gerber from Lone Mountain College, and Meta Mendel from Stevenson College, U.C.
