Max Weber was, of course, an eminent German sociologist and economist who was educated at the universities of Heidelberg and Berlin. Weber held a number of academic posts at Berlin, Freiberg, Heidelberg, and Munich. He is best known for "Die Protestantische Ethik und der Geist des Kapitalismus" ("The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism") published in 1904 which greatly influenced sociological theory. A still fairly crisp fine copy in a very good+ dust jacket.
