[16] pages, including 6 full-page color illustrations. Also with black-and-white textual illustrations. Near fine. In the introductory essay, William Zimmer writes about Peck's "re-paintings", a technique which the artist describes in a brief note: "The paintings named 'Re-Paintings' are oil paint on canvas, or linen, which has been prepared on both sides. One side is painted on, and then this painted surface is cut up. The cuttings in turn are pressed-placed into wet oil paint which has been put down on another stretched canvas, or linen surface. What interests me is the eventual communion of the two becoming one."Laid in is an autograph note penned in black ink on a cream card, sending the catalog to a Mr. Walter. The card is signed "Best regards" / George Peck".

Ajouter au panierPaperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book offers a compelling analysis of religion and society, arguing that the rejection of Christianity and its teachings in recent centuries has created a moral void. After examining the failures of alternative ethical systems, the author suggests that only Catholicism can provide the necessary framework for personal and social renewal. Drawing on history, philosophy, and the author's own religious experience, the book explores the transformative power of Catholic faith, particularly through its emphasis on community and the sacraments. It maintains that Catholicism offers a path to reconciling the individual with the divine, fostering social harmony, and unlocking the full potential of human existence. This insightful work challenges readers to reconsider the role of religion in modern society and presents a compelling case for the enduring relevance of Catholicism as a source of spiritual fulfillment and social cohesion. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
