Everson worked closely with Kenneth Rexroth. Throughout his life, Everson was a great admirer of the work and life of poet Robinson Jeffers. Much of his work as a critic was done on Jeffers's poetry. This volume offers essays and comments on Creeley, Jeffers, Corso, Hart Crane, Robert Duncan, Robert Frost, Allen Ginsberg, Robert Lowell, W.S.
