This chatty diary was started in 1858, as John Coffe Williamson returned to the Ocoee Acaemy as advanced student and assistant teacher. It's filled with some interesting tidbits about the counties of Polk and Bradley Tennessee and Murray G…eorgia, and contains about 500 names of residents of this area. It also bridges the Civil War. 178pp., with a surname index, and many notes. The book is in as-new condition, and the inscription is to the grandparents from the other side of the family from the editor, Ben Harris McClary. Now housed in a protective acid free document bag fo storage. I can have this in the mail to you tomorrow. Inscribed By Author-Front End.

Houghton (Publisher). xxxi, [3], 466pp, printed on fine glossy paper, bound in blind stamped, decorative leather, raised bands on spine, all edges gilt, inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, illustrated throughout. The front cover is detached, covers show edge/corner wear, interior in Very Good Condition, with binding tight. No musical notations.
