Two newspaper clippings laid in on page four of Parsons, Volume I. Pasted paper residue to rear pastedown. Light tanning to pages. Co-bound: two hard-to-find mid-19th century histories of Ireland. Thomas Wright was a founder of the Camden Society, the British Archaeological Association and the Shakespeare Society. His detailed book on Irish history was first published in 1848-52. In this edition, Volumes I and II are published in 1851, and Volume III in 1852. Benjamin Parsons (1797-1855) was an English congregational minister. He was known as a political campaigner who involved his congregation. His book "The Greatness of the British Empire," published in 1851, contains lectures on English history delivered at Ebley, Stroud, and Cheltenham.…
