"Tim Havers's contribution consists of paintings that are in the main of well-known pools on some English, Scottish and Welsh rivers, and although they mostly contain a distant figure either fishing for or battling with a salmon, they are essentially of the river and the surrounding landscape. This no 157. Full red moroccan goatskin binding , contained in a card slipcase. Gilt lettering to spine and front board. Gilt image of salmo…n to front board. Aeg. Gilt decoration to inner dentelles. Oblong format, 10.25ins x 12.25ins, 112pp. Thirty seven colour plates within the text. Amongst the writers featured are Arthur Ransome, Lord Grey of Fallodon, Henry Williamson, T.H. White, John Buchan and Geoffrey Nickson. Prospectus for the book loosely inserted. When published this copy was priced at £150 compared to £40 for the ordinary edition.The slipcase is rather rubbed and worn but the book itself is in Fine condition. Signed by Author(s).
