Can cities provide enough jobs? around 85% of new jobs are created in the informal economy Is your city in the right place? 50% of cities with over 2m people are at risk of earthquakes above 7.5 How will you keep cool? urbanisation creates heat islands that require air conditioning and refrigeration and Los Angeles spends $100m year on cooling. These are really nifty little cards and sure to get you thinking no matter how out of date they are. Picture it: a group of forward-thinkers gathered around a table with a pot of overpriced artisan coffee, brainstorming how best to elucidate the complex interplay of political, economic, and social factors that propel society into the future?or perhaps simply into a deeper state of confusion.
