A flyer advertising a 'music' and visual performance including a multi-box, napkin dispenser, violin, harmonica, sticks and stones, voice, tape and various props. This was performed by fig. 7,…which may have been a one woman or man group, according to previous owner. Illustrations and performance reminiscent of Fluxus or Happenings style events. This performance was held at a venue called the Back Room, a gallery devoted to mail and performance art in the back of a store "A Fine Hand" that specialized in left hand items. VERY GOOD condition. Four small pieces of tape adhered to the reverse. Very light curling.

RELATIVES (none known) CRIMINAL RECORD (none known)(Signature) Allan Kramer Photographs taken about 1939 An indictment in four counts was returned by a Federal Grand Jury at Boston, Massachusetts, on March 1, 1940, charging subject as Allan Kramer with violation of the Federal Impersonation Statute in that he did, on or about February 13, 15, and 16, 1940, at Boston, Massachusetts, unlawfully and with intent to defraud, obtain certain services and money by falsely assuming and pretending to be an officer of the U. S. Government. An indictment was returned by a Federal Grand Jury at Shelby, North Carolina, on March 18, 1941, charging subject as Allan Kramer with violation of the Federal Impersonation Statute in that he did, between February 26, 1940 and April 16, 1940 at Charlotte, North Carolina, unlawfully and with intent to defraud, obtain certain money by falsely assuming and pretending to be an officer of the U. S. Government. Law enforcement agencies kindly transmit any additional criminal record or information to the nearest division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U. S. Department of Justice. If apprehended, please notify the Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U. S. Department of Justice, Washington, D. (over) Issued by: JOHN EDGAR HOOVER, DIRECTOR" Allan Kramer was actually an alias used by a notorious confidence man named Alexander Arlinsky. According to contemporary news records and historical archives of the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, Arlinsky eluded capture for years by changing his name, altering his appearance, and moving across the country. He was finally tracked down and arrested by FBI agents in a Manhattan hotel room on July 23, 1946. While exact federal sentencing records from 1946 are not broadly digitized, he faced a massive stack of multiple multi-count federal indictments across multiple states (including Massachusetts, North Carolina, and California) for violating the Federal Impersonation Statute. He was extradited back to Boston to face these charges, where a standard federal impersonation conviction at the time carried heavy consecutive prison terms and steep fines for each count. Arlinsky was a career criminal who reportedly operated under 37 distinct aliases and married as many as six different women across the country to swindle them out of their money. FBI records show he specialized in posing as an FBI Special Agent or a secret Army intelligence officer to target wealthy families and courted women. Following his prison time, he eventually returned to his family's home region of Lowell, Massachusetts, and passed away in mid-1955. counts of violating the Federal Impersonation Statute under his "Allan Kramer" alias. This triggered a widespread tracking effort documented extensively in the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin. (illustrateur).
