Phil Davenport tells of his experiences in the Second World War, and includes some details of the experiences of his brothers, Jack Davenport and Keith Davenport: three brothers all serving in Coastal Command (Jack with 455 Squadron RAAF and Keith with 461 Squadron RAAF). Phil served in 461 Squadron RAAF on Sunderlands during the battle of the Atlantic and in 235 Squadron RAF, flying Mosquitos. He was shot down in the latter stages of the war in Norway and was taken prisoner of war. Includes details of his training experiences and post war experiences with UNRRA in China where he was caught up in the civil war there. Lots of photos from the author's collection. Scarce.
