In stock in Ireland - PAPERBACK good condition - with shelf scuffing - covers are scuffed - spine is uncreased and the spine text is clear - page block is clean and tidy - slight wave to the page block - 1995 edition - 'Cranked Up Really High' is probably the most energetic, hilarious and irreverent tome ever scrawled on the subject of 'punk rock'. From the outset, it becomes clear that Home's main target is the crop of 'musicologists' who've mystified the music way out of proportion to its trashy pop status.

Ajouter au panierCloth. Etat : Very Good Indeed. None (illustrateur). First edition. A very scarce, limited edition copy of Billy Childish's semi-autobiographical novel 'Notebooks of a Naked Youth'. The first edition of this work. To the rear board the limitation statement is written '44/100' Next to this is Childish's signature 'Billy'. Childish's noted 'hangman' signature is to the leaf preceding the title page, which features a printing of a woodcut by Childish. Billy Childish, born Steven John Hamper, is an English artist. Known for his poetry, paintings, photography, and music. He is known for the explicit nature of his work, which details his love life and childhood sexual abuse. The introduction by Michael Baldwin notes that 'Notebooks of a Naked youth is a wicked, funny, preposterous book of a gigantic scope and power, stunningly important like all of Billy Childish's work, and so tough to describe that I can only urge everyone with an interest in the contemporary scene to beg, borrow, buy or otherwise hijack a copy immediately'. A very smart, extremely scarce work by an important and influential creative. In the original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, smart, with just a few handling marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with just the occasional handling mark. Very Good Indeed. book.
