Looking at this on's hand, that one's almond-shaped unseeing eye, I am reminded of the human embryo at the end of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, who represents what is perhaps tha tnext step in evolution after the bone-wielding ape and the lost astronaut, they seem poised, on the brink of life, but they are frozen forever.
