Hardcover, good. Corners bum…ped with cardboard exposed there and at spots along edges of boards, rubbed along edges, leather scuffed on spine, 1 inch tear on lower edge of front joint, 2 inch tear at top edge. Internally, front hinge cracked with gauze exposed, previous owner's signature (Ira E. Dole, presumably the captain of the ill-fated Old Dominion Line steamship Hamilton, which sank in 1899) , paper lightly age yellowed, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked, probably never really read. Novel.
