The title "Son of Raven, S…on of Deer: Fables of the Tse-shaht People" is a collection of Tse-shaht folklore tales from the west coast of Vancouver Island. George Clutesi, a teacher of Tse-shaht values, beliefs, traditions, and culture, published this collection in 1967. This book is among the earliest published works by an Indigenous author in Canada. It is a collection of 12 stories from the West Coast of Vancouver Island. George Clutesi was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 1973. He was born in Port Alberni and passed in 1998 at the age of 83. Clutesi, George (illustrateur).
