All four items are illustrated from photographs of the Fab Four. 8vo and 4to, all four items in original photographically illustrated paper wrappers, THE BEATLES IN A HARD DAY'S NIGHT and THE B…EATLES ARE BACK perfect bound, the others are staple bound. Three items in excellent state of preservation, the wrappers all intact with only a bit of general mellowing, some toning to the paper as expected in mass-market publications and periodicals, THE BEATLES ARE BACK with somewhat more wear and a sizeable chip to the front wrapper's top outside corner, some degradation to the spine and rubbing to the edges. A VERY ENJOYABLE FAB-FOUR ARCHIVE OF MATERIALS FROM 1964 AND RELEVANT TO THE MOTION PICTURE AND ALBUM A HARD DAY'S NIGHT. The first item is John Burke's novelization of A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, based on the screenplay by Alun Owen. This has photo-illustrated paperback wrappers, including the upper cover photo in colour. Inside are eight pages of black and white exclusive photos from the motion picture. Next up is a 1964 Fan magazine allowing the reader to "visit their home!" It reputes to give a glimpse into their private lives and families. It is illustrated throughout with "New Fab Photos". The remaining to items are both songbooks, the first being songs from A HARD DAY'S NIGHT. These are; A Hard Day's Night", I'll Cry Instead, I Should Have Known Better, Tell Me Why, I'm Happy Just to Dance With You, And I Love Her, Ringo's Theme, If I Fell, Can't Buy Me Love, some in multiple arrangments. This is a vocal edition with chord names and is illustrated with photographs. The second songbook contains 20 Beatles songs and has a fun "Official Fan Club" membership application form which is fully intact. The wrappers are photo illustrated inside and outside, the pull-out photo section is lacking, as is nearly always the case.
