Approximate Position- Latitude position . by Order Hubert G. Cook, Secretary. The South Burford Buoy Light is at the southern end of the Burford Bankwhich extends across the entrance of Dublin Bay in a north by northeast direction; nearly due south from the Bailey lighthouse. It is a narrow ridge of hard sand, two miles long, and less than a quarter of a mile wide. The buoy is an important light and marker influencing the flow of marine traffic in and outof Dublin Bay.
