Paperback. Etat : Good. America is fighting a Civil War today. Between the Citizen and the State. On one side are the Patriots, people who support the Constitution and our system of government: limited in its power over your life. A system of checks and balances and small government where the important decisions are made by the States, not Washington. A system where 'We the People' has real meaning, where Rights apply to individuals, and where the Government has only duties. Patriots trust the people. On the other side are the Progressives, people who believe that ethics and morality and law come not from God but from the Government. Their vision is for a system where the Government becomes the Nanny State, and in the process Big Brother, taking care of them from Cradle to Grave. All you have to give up for this Utopia is your personal freedom and all your Rights - which turn out to be not so inalienable after all. Progressives trust the State. Refounding America is about fighting this Patriotic War against the Progressives who would have their State take over every aspect of our lives. Their prescription for hope and change is Socialism, the first step on the slippery slope to Marxism. Over 60 years ago, George Orwell warned us about this coming totalitarian dystopia in his works 1984 and Animal Farm. In the latter, all the animals were equal - except the elitist Pigs, who were more equal. Sound familiar? Refounding America is the field manual for the other animals in the barnyard who want their own personal freedoms back and are sick and tired of the Pigs telling them what to do. Refounding America is the handbook loaded with practical, tactical strategies to Take Back America Now, and win the battle against the Progressives.…

Paperback. Etat : Fair. Who am I? Where do I fit in? How can I get off the treadmill of trying so hard to achieve success and win approval so I can feel good about myself? All of us are looking for security and significance, but most of us are searching in the wrong places. In this book, Dr. Ken Nichols opens the doors to a new way to live. We can find the stability, confidence, joy, and meaning we've always longed for . . . in our new identity as God's beloved children. With clear principles and gripping stories, he challenges our current thinking, melts our hearts by pointing us to the grace of God, and inspires us to reflect the glory of God to everyone who's watching. Grasping our new identity in Christ changes everything Dr. Ken Nichols graduated from Cedarville University, earned a master's degree from Wright State University, and a second master's and a doctorate from Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology at Biola University. Dr. Nichols' career path includes serving with Dr. David Jeremiah for 25 years as Pastor of Family Ministries, college professor and counselor. He is the founder and president of ALIVE Ministries, a counseling, conference and consulting ministry. He also teaches graduate level classes at the Center for Counseling and Family Studies at Liberty University. For over a decade, Ken and his wife Marlene have participated in missionary training and enrichment conferences for the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. They enjoy traveling together and spending time with family. They are blessed with three children and six grandchildren.…

Paperback. Etat : Good. First published in 1776, the year in which the American Revolution officially began, Smith's Wealth of Nations sparked a revolution of its own. In it Smith analyzes the major elements of political economy, from market pricing and the division of labor to monetary, tax, trade, and other government policies that affect economic behavior. Throughout he offers seminal arguments for free trade, free markets, and limited government. Criticizing mercantilists who sought to use the state to increase their nations' supply of precious metals, Smith points out that a nation's wealth should be measured by the well-being of its people. Prosperity in turn requires voluntary exchange of goods in a peaceful, well-ordered market. How to establish and maintain such markets? For Smith the answer lay in man's social instincts, which government may encourage by upholding social standards of decency, honesty, and virtue, but which government undermines when it unduly interferes with the intrinsically private functions of production and exchange. …
