Hardcover. Etat : Fine. No Jacket. Limited Edition. Number 24 of an edition limited to 125 copies. The complete portfolio of eight brightly colored screen prints on thick, white paper (Museum Board), each measuring 30 in. x 29 ¾ in. Not bound. Numbered "24" on the justification page; each print is signed and dated in pencil by Wesley. In a cloth-covered folder with the title "Panoply" on the front panel, and still in its original shipping carton. All sheets and the portfolio are fine. Very scarce when complete. John Wesley is a contemporary American painter. Characterized by his uniquely graphic, flattened Pop paintings, Wesley's work addresses themes of sexuality and erotica through stylized and symmetrically composed images. Though his paintings are reminiscent of his contemporary Tom Wesselmann, his personal associations were with peers Dan Flavin and Donald Judd, and he was inspired by both the Minimalist and Surrealist movements. Approximate weight is 35 lbs. Postage will be extra on this item. Signed by Illustrator(s).…

First edition. Single sheet, folded twice to form [4] pages, printed in black and red. Slight handling wear, slightly musty, near fine. One of about 100 copies distributed to friends by Robert and Louise Haas. A previously unpublished extract from Alphabets and Birthdays, eventually issued in 1957 as part of the Yale edition of the Unpublished Works of Gertrude Stein. This extract, concerning the delay of the Haas' wedding due to measles, was sent from France by Alice B. Toklas after Stein's death and was then issued privately as a Christmas remembrance of Stein. (Stein's Prothalamium was published in 1939 to celebrate the Haas' wedding, see Wilson A33.) Wilson A45.…
